Totally Reliable

Daily Nugget:

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.   Numbers 23:19a

Much to Balak's unhappiness, Balaam could only deliver the words of the Lord.  Blessings were upon Israel regardless of what anyone else wanted.  And God could not lie and say otherwise, through Balaam.

I am thankful for a God who keeps His word.  He is the God I have complete confidence in.  He is not unreliable, fickle or changeable... His very nature is faithful to His promises.  Isn't that wonderful!!

This amazing attribute of God however, does not mean that there is never a possibility  of God changing His mind or plans.  We sometimes mess up His plan, which after repentance, He can redirect.  I believe that the prayers of intercessors can be heard so deeply in God's heart that He is able to change paths and plans.

I am so blessed to serve a God who I can totally depend.  I know He will never fail me or let me down.  His promises are definite.  That gives me sweet peace!

Lord God, I am grateful for Your promises in my life.  For the security I have of knowing You will never falter or fail me.  I have to realize that my plans are not Yours, and I must rest in the peace of knowing You do all things for my good!  I love you Lord!
