Drawing Closer....

I love the beginning of each year, when our church body goes into 21 days of prayer and fasting.  I find strength in my fast, knowing others are fasting and praying along side me!

As I was reading last night, a scripture in Psalm jumped out and spoke to me.  Don't you love it when that happens?  God is so good to speak to us, when we are listening.

My worries overtake me more than I would like to admit, but I am so thankful for the comfort God gives, through His presence and through His word.  He brings JOY!

Dear Jesus, may I learn to depend on Your joy even more than before.  Help me to not become so focused on my worry that it hides the comfort You provide.  Amen
